Race report by Jitse Miedema
Qualification
Due to the hot afternoon sun the track and air where very warm. Meaning the gear ratios had to go up, not to overheat the motors. Even though the TQ time that Jitse Miedema ran with this XRAY X1 was just a second of the TQ time of the running touring cars, with Stephan Beelen 1.6sec behind. The tone was set. Qualifying 2nd was Stefan Beelen, 3rd was Niels de Zwijger.

Finals
Due to the format of this particular race, the finals where 10 minutes. Plus the winner of the first race had to start at the back of the pack in the 2nd final.

First final was a walk in the park for Jitse with his X1, due to some wing-adjustments he was able to run faster and more consistent. 2nd was Stephan. 3rd was for Ben Voorhaar with his X1, after a battle with Niels. Ben, running the winning setup of the International Dutch F1 Challenge is very happy with the car and is very capable to compete (as he showed).

Second final. Due to the rules, Jitse had a big task on his hands, needing to pass the field to get to the top. Due to a pile-up the next lap he was quickly in 2nd place behind Stephan, and gaining fast. Setting a new lap record in the process. After a battle that lasted a few laps they caught each other’s wheel sending Stephan in the grass. This meant Niels was now in the lead, Stephan 2nd, Jitse 3rd. quickly Jitse was able to pass Stephan, and was all over Niels. 2 laps later Jitse was in the front and was able to drive away. In the process of this all, Ben came up and was able to pass Niels, Making him finish 3rd overall.

Final results:

1. Jitse Miedema - XRAY X1

2. Stephan Beelen
3. Ben Voorhaar - XRAY X1
4. Niels de Zwijger
5. Andre van der Steen - XRAY X1
